“If you are a young person interested in social action you can get involved through your school or where you work, set up your own project or find out about one of the many excellent programmes that already exist around the UK. Below are few organisations who provide funding or social action programmes for a range of ages across the UK.”
Ncvo “We champion the voluntary sector by connecting, representing and supporting voluntary organisations. We work to help voluntary organisations and volunteers make the biggest difference they can.”
Upchieve A tutoring website: “We connect low-income youth with live academic support to help them on their path to achieving upward mobility”.
Empow3r “Our goal is to provide underprivileged girls in India with the education they deserve”
Reengage“Call companions make regular telephone calls to lonely and isolated older people providing a lifeline of friendship.  The regular chat and companionship offers a vital link with the outside world.”
AgeUK“Be there when a lonely older person needs to talk. Be part of your community and provide vital support for older residents. Be inspired to raise money so more older people can get the help they deserve and need. Whatever you choose to do, and however much time you have to give, you’ll be making an incredible difference for older people at a time in their lives when they need help the most.”
